Which modes of transport are ideal for you?

For the transport of temperature-sensitive products, Coolboxx offers three combined transport modes: sea, road or rail.

When arranging transport by sea, Coolboxx operates with two types of short-sea container service: shipping by so-called Lo-Lo (“load on – load off”) and Ro-Ro (“roll on – roll off”) vessels. In many cases, this is preferable to transport by road. Transport by sea is often the cheaper solution.
Recently, transportation by rail has been offering most attractive prospects for the transport of temperature-sensitive products.
Thanks to the introduction of the clip-on generator, cooling during rail transportation is now feasible. The extensive rail network in Europe means that virtually any destination is now within reach.

Moreover, Coolboxx offers carriage by road as a transport solution, connecting distribution centres to ports as well as container and rail terminals. Yet, when minimizing the length of the initial and final road stages of an intermodal transport, the environmental impact is reduced and high tolls no longer apply.
